On Saturday, 22nd of June, the releaseparty of MOTSA’s debut EP “Taken By Surprise” takes place at Das Werk. The line up at the Salopp! party features besides  MOTSA himself, remixer Roman Rauch and the residents Lupo and Davi dB.

In addition FM4′s La Boum De Luxe having a summer party on Sunday, 23rd of June, at Porto Pollo/Donauinsel where MOTSA, Lupo and Davi dB are playing alongside with Ken Hayakawa from Schönbrunner Perlen, Bernhard Tobola from Tingel Tangel and many more!

Valerio Dittrich aka MOTSA grew up in the Scottish highlands surrounded by various styles of British electronic music. This period of his life, and a lust for soulful music from any country or continent, has clearly left marks in his production style today. Through the years he has collaborated and experimented in various genres to keep his output versatile. His current sound is somewhere between glitchy yet dance floor oriented beats and bass driven electronica.

We are happy to announce to our duo Julian & der Fux are playing Graz at Springfestival on the 29th May @ PPC; at the Vienna Independent Shorts party @ Brut on the 1st June and in Greifenstein at the Ton am Strom Festival on the Outdoor Stage on the 29th June. Number one Austrian blogger Disco Demons featured the newest release of Julian & der Fux “Mischwald Kapitel Eins” on his blog and mixed “Der letzte Tanz” in his latest mixtape, which is called “Sleepless”. Also litheart.de posted a review about “Mischwald” alongside with the blog-post from German blog-flagship trndmusik.de.

After a total run of 6 weeks in the Austrian FM4 charts, the song “Altes Ego” by Julian & der Fux left the charts, peaking highest on number 3 at the 9th Febuary.
Meanwhile their video for “Speckbrot” is nominated at the Vienna Independent Shorts for the Österreichischen Musikvideo Preis.

Nachdem Julian & der Fux mit ihren beiden Singles „Speckbrot” und „Altes Ego” schon ordentlich Staub aufgewirbelt haben, folgt nun mit „Mischwald — Kapitel Eins” der nächste Schritt. Das Wiener Duo blickt ein erstes Mal zurück auf das Gewachsene. Auf einer Lichtung begegnen sie Produzenten aus verschiedenen Ecken des Waldes, diese nehmen sich die 4 veröffentlichten Tracks vor, verwandeln und verpacken sie neu.

Mit ihrer neuen Single „Altes Ego“, schlagen Julian & der Fux nach ihrer Debütsingle „Speckbrot“ ein neues Kapitel auf. Dieser Release kann sowohl als Vorbote für das ins Haus stehende Album, als auch als Standortbe- stimmung gesehen werden. In bewährter Manier wird der titelgebende Track „Altes Ego“ vorständig, auch der zweite Track „Axt & Beil“ trägt die markante Handschrift von Julian & der Fux und spielt wiedermit dem typischen Wiener Charme und persönlichen Abgründen.

Ausgezehrt vom Nachtleben, schwer atmend und nach Mandelöl riechend sitzen Julian & der Fux an ihrem Platz an der Bar. Als ich hineinkomme umarmt mich der mir Unbekannte überschwänglich und schwafelt Unzusammenhängendes von der letzten Nacht und den alten Zeiten, als alles besser war. Ich setze mich zu den beiden und lasse mich auf das ungewöhnliche Treffen ein.

Die Künstlergruppe „playground” stellt ihr neues Gesamtkunstwerk im Palais Kabelwerk vor. Wie schon zuvor besticht die Inszenierung von „XXX – too sexy to fail” durch ein schauspielerisch, sowie audio-visuell ausgereiftes Konzept zwischen Performance, Sprechtheater und Musik-Gig.
